Paint Engineer
Job Summary:
Our client in Georgetown, KY is seeking a Paint Engineer for a contract position. What You Will Do: Manage project schedules for new material and model paint trials, cost reduction, and performance improvements. Support development and implementation of new materials, colors, and technologies in paint departments. Lead planning, evaluation, and implementation of new colors and materials. Conduct lab workability and online testing for new materials. Establish process controls and parameters for new materials in a cross-functional environment. Lead problem-solving efforts related to materials across divisions. Assess environmental impacts of new materials and technologies.
Basics:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work in cross-functional teams. 2+ years project management experience across functions. 1+ years in color and appearance evaluations. 1+ years in paint design.
Preferred:
Bachelor's or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science. Experience in automotive paint production engineering. Experience in paint application and lab evaluations.
