Overview

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Engineer III for our NG-SIEM Product Group to work on the LogScale platform. This role focuses on the LogScale language and its execution pipeline, from extending the query language to improving performance of existing functions. This is a highly distributed system that ingests 10+ petabytes of data per day, with goals to scale to hundreds of petabytes of data ingress per day while maintaining high availability, fast ingest, accurate search, and strong cost efficiency. You will join a distributed team of engineers who own their contributions from ideation to deployment and feedback. The role offers opportunities to solve hard engineering problems and become a go-to expert on the LogScale language and its execution model. The team values autonomy and collaboration, with a culture that supports owning your work and continuous learning. Location : Remote (East Coast emphasis) with the possibility of collaboration across teams. Compensation details: base salary range and bonuses/equity are provided in the posting. Work in a distributed team on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects Participate in scoping, designing and developing new features; lead delivery of solutions to open?ended problems Contribute to improving the experience of users of the LogScale language Develop the LogScale backend in Scala and extend the product to scale with increasing ingest while ensuring high availability Communicate technical decisions through design documents, talks, and improved internal documentation Provide technical advice on decisions and research new technologies Provide expertise on the LogScale query language Collaborate on delivery of new solutions and support teammates through code reviews, pairing, and documentation Monitor and follow up on features released to customers on?prem and on cloud Troubleshoot critical production issues on customer deployments What Youll Need

A passion for distributed systems and curiosity about how running systems perform Experience with software development and balancing short?term delivery with long?term product goals Experience contributing to broad technical leadership in products or services Fluency in both functional and object?oriented programming with ability to learn new languages A can?do attitude and ability to collaborate in a team environment and take on responsibilities Bonus Points
