Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will manage a team of accounting professionals, maintain financial controls, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities : Financial Management & Reporting

Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders for NAR as well as its not-for-profit and for-profit subsidiaries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Maintain and improve the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and classified. Review reconciliations prepared by Financial Accountants including bank reconciliations, investment portfolio, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts. Coordinate and manage external audit processes. Collaborate with NAR's venture capital arm to report private equity and venture debt investing activities and track valuation adjustments resulting from observable transactions. Play a leader role in the ongoing NetSuite implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive system enhancements and ensure seamless integration with existing financial processes. Team Leadership and Development

Supervise and mentor Financial Reporting and Accounting staff. Provide training and professional development opportunities for team members. Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. Process Improvement & Controls

Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions. Strategic Support

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision. Work collaboratively with the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis to analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with other departments on financial planning and special projects. Assist with cash flow management and working capital optimization. Support merger and acquisition activities as needed. Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Accounting or MBA is a plus. CPA certification required. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in a supervisory or management role is a plus. Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation. Big Four or other large accounting firm a plus. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling. Proficient with NetSuite ERP and report building. Knowledge of data tools like Power BI and Tableau is a plus. Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial regulations. Skilled at explaining accounting concepts to non-financial managers. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Occasional overtime required during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end periods. Ability to travel 1-2 times per year, as needed.

Compensation: $110,000-$130,000 NAR provides comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance. NAR works on a hybrid schedule with 3 days a week in the office
