Roam seeks a
backend software engineer
skilled in
infrastructure + DevOps , who can design scalable systems supporting
hundreds of thousands of users . This role involves architecting pipelines for
LLM-powered game generation , integrating across Unity, iOS, and cloud, and ensuring system reliability in a hypergrowth environment. Key Responsibilities Architect & automate
developer platforms
for pipelines (LLM game generation + asset integration) Build integrations across
Unity, iOS (SwiftUI/UIKit), AWS, Supabase, Pinecone Implement
automated testing & feedback systems
(self-play + user behavior-driven) Own backend platform features
end-to-end
(designdeployscale) Improve existing architecture, enforce service contracts, and reduce deployment friction Learn and adopt new languages/frameworks as the product evolves Ideal Candidate Profile 5-8+ years backend engineering experience Strong skills in
SQL, NoSQL, Python, TypeScript Experience with
cloud infra (AWS), DBs, scalable systems Bonus: applied AI, game dev, or prior hypergrowth startup experience Hands-on, ownership-driven, thrives in fast-moving environments Must be
