We are seeking a highly skilled Liferay Developer to join our technology team. This role focuses on the design, development, testing, integration, and support of banking applications, with a strong emphasis on Java and Liferay DXP portal development. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about delivering innovative and high-quality software solutions. Location
Location: Midtown / ATL GA Hybrid: All 5 days onsite (office) Key Responsibilities
Specialization in designing, customizing, and maintaining solutions built on the Liferay platform Design, develop, test, and support Java and Liferay DXP portal applications independently Participate in application design sessions and propose technical alternatives that support business objectives while reducing technical debt Create detailed design specifications for implementation and ensure high-quality system software Write and execute unit tests to validate application functionality against business requirements Maintain application builds, deployments, and configurations Perform peer reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards Collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application integration and coordination Stay updated on trends and emerging technologies in the software development industry Communicate status updates and track time against project deliverables daily Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and technical team members Proficiency in: Core: Java, Spring, OSGi framework, Liferay APIs Liferay DXP 7.2 and above Java 8 and above Frontend: JSP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular) Java Server Pages (JSP) Databases: MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes (for Liferay containerization) Elasticsearch (commonly bundled with Liferay) Proven ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a banking or financial services environment Seniority level
