How you'll contribute
A Medical Assistant who excels in this role:
Assists with performing patient assessments and treatment under the direction of the physician or nurse. Provides general patient care in the physician office setting and completes tasks as directed by physician or office manager to ensure seamless daily operation. Administers injections, vaccines, and medications as instructed by physician. Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. What we're looking for
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant Certification is highly preferred.
Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited organization by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) required within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 7 days of hire. At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is required. Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
