The Ground Solutions & Mission Support (GSMS) Infrastructure Team has an opening for a Staff SW Engineer in support of their Development and Operations & Maintenance contracts. You will be responsible for maintaining several SW product lines, troubleshooting Operating System issues, and executing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) vulnerability management (CVEs) processes. This position requires continuous coordination and interfacing with SW SubProjects, Systems Engineering, the Infrastructure System Administration team, external customers, and multiple E1 site personnel teams. You will work in a dynamic team environment to create and implement well-defined processes. Basic Qualifications: 12 Years with Bachelors in Science; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD. Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of application 12 years experience in languages such as C, C++ or Rust Experience building software solutions involving hardware integrations Advance knowledge of Linux kernel and operating system constructs Advanced knowledge of computer networking standards (OSI), concepts, and related protocols (ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, ARP, and DHCP) Familiarity with the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases Familiarity with Agile SW methodologies Preferred Qualifications: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance w/CI poly Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field DevOps or Platform Engineering experience Proficiency in Python and Perl Experience in designing, developing, deploying, and scaling containerized applications (Kubernetes) Experience driving architectural, design, and technical aspects of business-critical cloud applications Security+ Certification Mission One Experience Primary Level Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
