About the Role
Alumni Ventures seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Boston, MA to support design, development, and implementation of AV's proprietary cloud-based venture software platform; customize software and respond to both emergency requests and maintenance requirements as a leader and contributor to AV's existing engineering function; develop and deliver quality, custom software applications to be leveraged by AV's business and operations functions; architect new projects from scratch; write clean, readable and well-documented code; coordinate tasks with designers, developers and project management to ensure timely delivery of software features; and develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week from New Hampshire/Massachusetts. Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations. Must possess at least 4 years of experience in all of the following: PHP, SQL, AWS, and Javascript. The salary for this position is $160,000-$170,000 annually.
