Overview
Community Home Manager Archway Programs: Overall management, supervision and coordination of program operation and group home staff in a 24-hour residential setting serving developmentally disabled adults. Responsibilities Maintains established division policies & procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Governs the confidentiality of client information from both external parties and Archway Programs employees who do not require this information to perform their job functions. Provides culturally sensitive services based on knowledge of cultural diversity to ensure quality client care. Customer Service: ensure responses are timely, professional, caring, respectful, and aligned with Archway Programs standards. Cooperates fully with Archway Programs, Department of Human Services, and Division of Developmental Disabilities representatives in inspections and/or investigations.

The following examples are for illustrative purposes only. The Group Home Manager may not perform all duties listed, and not all duties listed are performed on every assignment. Supervises group home staff. Interviews and recommends prospective group home employees for hire. Monitors the work of all staff, including supervision, discipline, hiring and termination. Coordinates staff meetings. Monitors, revises and updates Program Description (Annex A) and IHPs as necessary, at least annually. Develops and monitors short- and long-term program goals and objectives; participates in department and company strategic planning. Plans and implements appropriate staff training. Prepares weekly staff work schedules. Serves as chief liaison with staff and other agencies. Reports on a weekly basis to the GH Coordinator. Responsible for Individual Habilitation Plan meetings. Keeps close watch over and responsible for the care and safety of all consumers. Serves as key liaison to parents and guardians of consumers. Ensures quality food purchases and maintains the food budget. Monitors daily activity logs. Ensures that monthly fire drills are conducted. Assists in developing annual group home budgets and ensures budget adherence. On-call 24 hours a day when on-call duty is assigned (on-call duties are divided among GH Managers). Performs other duties as assigned and aligns with Archway Quality Assurance Policy and Procedures. Ensures compliance with licensing standards, DDD policies, and Archway policies; plans, documents and implements IHP with IDT members. Develops, updates, implements and evaluates IHP as needed, at least annually.
Minimum Educational Requirements
High school diploma or GED required Bachelors degree preferred
Minimum Experience Required
One year in residential or health care settings One year working with developmentally disabled individuals
Other Knowledge, Skills, And Certifications Required
Appointees must possess a valid drivers license if operating a vehicle is necessary for essential duties. Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English; American Sign Language or Braille may be considered acceptable forms of communication. Individuals with mental or physical disabilities may be eligible with reasonable accommodation; accommodations may not be possible if they cause undue hardship. Clean driving record Excellent communication skills Crisis Intervention/Precautions skills CPR, FA, DDD Pre-service must be completed within 90 days of hire Familiarity with Licensing Standards, behavior modification and NJ DDD Policy and Procedure Knowledge of Archway Quality Assurance Policy and Procedure Knowledge of Human Resources/Employee Relations issues Any and all other trainings/in-services as assigned by Archway Programs

Note:
Employee must obtain and provide certification of pre-employment physical and Mantoux test (at employees expense) with certification of freedom from restrictions that would impair job performance and freedom from tuberculosis.
