Job DescriptionJob Description The Assistant Commercial Property Manager supports the day-to-day operations of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including office, retail, property owner associations, and mixed-use developments. This role plays a key part in maintaining tenant satisfaction, ensuring lease compliance, supporting financial performance, and upholding property standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of managing detailed administrative and operational tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Assist with lease administration, including tracking critical dates such as lease expirations and rent escalations. Conduct routine property inspections and report maintenance needs to ensure consistent curb appeal and adherence to property standards. Maintain and monitor accurate records of tenant insurance and other lease-required documentation. Support the development of annual budgets by providing data and assisting with financial planning. Ensure adherence to property policies, safety standards, and applicable local regulations. Draft and distribute tenant notices, memos, and general communications. Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including rent collection and tenant follow-ups. Review and process leases, including reading lease clauses, integrating amendments, and coordinating with Property Management and Accounting teams. Respond to lease-related information requests with accuracy and attention to detail. Qualifications & Experience Demonstrated experience in commercial property management or a closely related field. Proficiency in lease abstraction, legal compliance tracking, and administrative processes. Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette to interact effectively with tenants and owners. Conflict resolution experience with the ability to address tenant concerns diplomatically. Highly organized with proven ability to manage deadlines, documentation, and financial accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar). Known for thoroughness and precision in maintaining financial records, lease files, and vendor documentation.
