We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in performance tuning to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, reliability, and consistent performance across mission-critical systems. This role requires deep Oracle database knowledge, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. The candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset, with the desire to automate processes and reduce manual effort wherever possible. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Diagnose and resolve complex database performance issues across the full stack. Implement and manage database security measures, including wallet and password management. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and optimize database solutions. Lead and support database migrations, including Postgres to RDS and Oracle to cloud platforms. Participate in on-call support rotation and respond to critical incidents as needed. If that sounds like something you aspire to, we want to hear from you! As a Consultant, Technology Engineer, you deliver standard and custom supportable technology products. The solutions you build are based on Nationwides architectural standards, technology roadmaps, industry trends, and business requirements. Youll focus on collaboration, data, systems, storage, middleware, network, security, and contact center technology products. Youll also be accountable for the operational aspects and management for the above products according to the business requirements and defined service level agreements (SLAs). Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Technology Architecture professionals to develop technology product roadmaps. Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities. Design and implement standard builds/templates for all technology platforms. Drive product improvements through optimization, enhancements, and the implementation of new features and functions. Work continuously with other Technology Engineering teams and Technology Architecture to ensure the success of products. Conduct proof-of-concept labs for enhancements, new solutions, and competitive bake-offs. Design standard and custom technology solutions for business partner projects, including pre-production testing, performance tuning, handoffs, and certification. Conduct proactive and reactive monitoring to detect, predict, and resolve abnormal conditions in the environment. Collaborate with vendors to help drive design innovation in product enhancements and improvements. Execute on production engineering processes, incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, change management, release management, and knowledge management. Provide complex production support for all technology platforms. Oversee technical labs and development environments. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Reporting Relationships:

Reports to AVP, Director, or Manager of Technology Engineering/Technology Product Management. Typical Skills and Experiences: Education:

Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field are preferred. License/Certification/Designation:

Technology certifications or designations are encouraged but not required (e.g., AWS, Azure, scripting and development languages, security). Experience:

Six or more years of experience with complex integrated solutions, ability to design, develop, and modify solutions for specialized needs. Experience with multiple technologies and domains. Experience automating deployment of solutions. Experience training and guiding less experienced staff. Familiarity with solutions like IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and packaged solutions. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Strong communication skills, knowledge of planning, management, and execution of the Accelerated Solutions Delivery framework, information security acumen. Influencing, negotiating, and priority-setting skills. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge is a plus. Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies, and experiences, may take precedence. Staffing exceptions must be approved by the Vice President and HR Business Partner. Values:
