Position Overview: Reporting to the Outbound Transportation Manager, the Fleet Dock Coordinator plays an important role in the success of the Outbound Transportation team. The Dock Coordinator is responsible for controlling the flow of all inbound fleet trailers ensuring trailers are unloaded and staged by store in FIFO order. Essential Job Functions: Control the flow of all inbound fleet trailers Collaborate with Transportation Planner and Shipping Supervisor to review plan and timing of incoming loads Systemically scanning all pallets into staging area using Nuvizz scanning software Outbound scan pallets to routes for outbound loads Daily inventory of freight on dock to ensure the flow of pallets to stores Ensure unloading based on age of truck unloading oldest truck first Inspect the condition of all pallets and report any miss-built pallets to ops to be fixed ahead of shipping to stores Ensure that pallets are moving first in first out on the shipping floor, and throughout every lane Spot check pallet builds, and pallet wrap integrity Organize and execute specialty seasonal set loading Partner with Transportation office on new store trailers Oversee the moving of all LTL, DTS, and Box freight to its designated staging area Completion of additional responsibilities assigned Must keep work area clean at all times of debris, wood, etc. Responsible for ensuring all trailers are kept clean of debris once unloaded Requirements: Ability to operate a Forklift to load pallets Ability to work flexible hours and work an alternate shift for an extended period of time with limited notice Ability to stand, stoop, lift and perform manual dexterity Lift up to 50-pound boxes, and remain on feet for entire shift Ability to ascend staircases and perform standing work on an elevated platform Ability to work while being exposed to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer Ability to perform additional duties as assigned as well as support other departments on an as needed basis Possess a solid understanding of Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain processes Team-oriented and collaborative Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience: Experience in an operational/transportation setting preferred Position Type: Hourly Position Starting At: $20.50 Be aware of fraud!
