Technical Sales Manager - Southeast - Atlanta, GA

Were seeking a Technical Sales Manager to provide technical support to field sales, build and maintain relationships with customers, and drive specification adoption for Viega products in the Southeast region (Atlanta, GA area). This role involves working with engineers, architects, contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure Viega products are specified and installed in applicable projects. What youll do Execute sales and account strategies to exceed revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty. Develop and maintain technical relationships with customers; understand their product strategy and requirements; map Viega products to customer needs; resolve technical questions and issues. Call on engineers, architects, contractors, builders, government agencies, educational institutes, and industrial accounts to ensure Viega products appear in master specifications. Provide technical sales assistance to regional teams and review engineering/product guide specifications as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to revise existing specifications and develop new ones; target industry-specific requirements and gain master specification approval. Build long-term relationships with key account decision makers and understand organizational structure and buying influences. Deliver professional technical presentations and product demonstrations to diverse audiences to support market growth. Increase demand by soliciting new customers, maintaining regular contact, and growing the customer/contractor database; travel as needed for training and support. Receive and follow up on leads from trade shows and other sources; prioritize outreach and provide requested information. Support cross-functional teams to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. Code Enforcement & Reporting Engage with local code officials to obtain acceptance of products; work with inspectors to resolve installation questions. Maintain monthly sales reports and business metrics; provide weekly updates to management; track travel and expenses; update CRM and specification databases. Other & Travel Attend meetings as required; participate in local professional societies (ASPE, MCA, ASHRAE, etc.). Travel up to 80% of local travel within the Atlanta area. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; experience with SAP and Salesforce. Knowledge of codes and standards; understanding of specifications development and piping industry. Excellent written/verbal communication, listening, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, relationship-building, and strategic selling skills. Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team; capable of presenting to diverse groups; ability to interpret customer needs and translate into solutions. Commitment to high standards of quality and customer service; positive, proactive attitude. Education, Certification/License & Work Experience High School Diploma or equivalent; 5-7 years of industry-related sales experience; college degree preferred; driver's license required.
