$15 $21 per hour, commensurate with experience Overview The Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of rental housing units and a small number of commercial spaces. This position ensures that all properties are well-maintained, fully compliant with applicable regulations, and that residents and commercial tenants receive excellent service and support. The role requires a balance of administrative, compliance, and property management skills, with a strong emphasis on accuracy in recordkeeping and clear communication with tenants. Key Responsibilities Property Management & Tenant Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for residential and commercial tenants, handling questions, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Market available rental units and commercial spaces, manage inquiries, and coordinate property showings. Oversee the lease application process, including background and income verification, reference checks, and approval procedures. Administer lease agreements, renewals, and terminations in accordance with organizational policies. Conduct regular inspections of residential and commercial properties to ensure safety, cleanliness, and upkeep. Compliance & Recordkeeping Maintain accurate tenant files and records, including applications, leases, income documentation, and eligibility certifications. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and reporting requirements. Accurately complete required forms and documentation to support program compliance. Prepare and submit periodic reports as required by funding and oversight agencies. Collect rent payments from both residential and commercial tenants and issue receipts. Monitor delinquent accounts, follow up with tenants, and initiate collection procedures as needed. Track operating expenses and assist with budgeting as directed. Facilities & Maintenance Oversight Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely completion of repairs and preventative maintenance. Monitor vendor performance and maintain service records. Ensure common areas, building systems, and property grounds remain clean, safe, and presentable. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred. Previous property management or housing program experience strongly preferred. Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and property management software (preferred, but training can be provided). Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality. Hourly Pay Range:
