Mortgage Fulfillment Underwriter

The Mortgage Fulfillment Underwriter ensures that the assets reviewed meet all applicable investor guidelines, through a complete knowledge of requirements and regulations. The Underwriter will be held accountable for the quality and accuracy of decisions. The Underwriter will: Make decisions on the full range of mortgage loans, preferably including FHA loans Review all mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness Work with clients to prepare mortgage applications and related documentation as needed, help resolve any outstanding issues Work with compliance officers to ensure Federal, State, and local compliance of all mortgage and loan materials Approve or deny mortgages on a timely basis Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values Schedule M-F 8:00- 5:00 PM with 30 Min Lunch. Skills: mortgage industry, mortgage, Underwriting, de underwriter, Credit Review, communication and people skills Top Skills Details: mortgage industry, mortgage, Underwriting, de underwriter, Credit Review Additional Skills & Qualifications: High School Diploma Solid knowledge of mortgage underwriting and of basic automated underwriting systems Proficiency with basic automated underwriting systems Knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations required, including Home Mortgage Disclosure Act Knowledge of state and federal agency mortgage loan guidelines and regulations helpful Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
