Position Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing IT Developer for our Aiken PSR plant.
The Computer Integrated Manufacturing position is responsible for the strategic planning and design of telecom infrastructure and/or network components. A Senior Professional position applies advanced knowledge of a job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
Responsibilities
Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision
Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals
Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
Analyzes the short-term and/or long-term network capacity needs for current and future network requirements
Designs the network architecture and performs technical analysis of software, hardware, network systems, systems engineering for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems
Ensures compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards and protocols
Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or related IT discipline
5+ years experience programming database centric applications in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Proficiency in advanced T-SQL programming
Proficiency in .NET programming utilizing C#, VB.NET, ADO.NET, ASP.NET
Demonstrated capability to seize ownership of a project and carry it from conception through post-implementation support
Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Familiarity with classic ASP and hand-held computers/scanners such as Intermec or Motorola would be a plus.
