SiLC Technologies, Inc
Overview
SiLC is a deep tech company with an immediate opening for a full-time on-site Embedded Systems Engineer to be part of a dynamic team focused on building revolutionary 4D sensing products. This person will be responsible for the design, development, optimization, and testing of real-time digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for an FMCW LiDAR system. The candidate is required to have an established background in electronics and embedded systems and a working knowledge of digital signal processing concepts. The candidate should also have strong communication skills as he or she will interface with our development team leads and senior management, as well as our exceptional team of hardware design engineers. Responsibilities
Drive the development of FMCW LiDAR features in C, in collaboration with our hardware and photonics teams Implement and optimize firmware for ARM-based microcontrollers and SoCs Conduct system-level feature validation by designing targeted experiments and analyzing results to identify root causes Conduct comprehensive characterization and testing on new development boards Interface with various sensors and peripheral devices using standard communication protocols Troubleshoot and debug both software and hardware issues Contribute to and maintain our existing codebase Document code and create design specifications, test plans, and user manuals Participate in code reviews and technical discussions Required Qualifications
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, preferably with a minimum of 5/3/0 years of industry experience, respectively Strong programming skills in C (embedded) and Python/Matlab (simulation/hardware-in-the-loop testing) Basic understanding of computer architecture fundamentals and operating systems Understanding of DSP concepts and ability to efficiently implement signal processing algorithms on embedded systems Understanding of common communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART) Experience with hardware debugging tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators) Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Nice to Have
Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers (e.g., STM32) Hands-on experience with SoC FPGAs Experience with DSP chips and vector processing Proficiency with Bash scripting Experience with Linux-based development/RTOS Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) Experience with reading PCB schematics Ability to adapt knowledge across photonics, optics, electronics and software development in a short time frame Salary
Salary Range: $110K-$150K + equity, depending on skillset and level of experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
