Provide maintenance technical leadership for the department related to plant rotating, fixed equipment and associated instrumentation. Key experience includes managing PM programs in SAP. In addition, this role will be responsible for boiler operation, with Boiler Operator Certification a plus. This is a salary-exempt position with on-call responsibilities. Primary responsibilities
Assist maintenance technicians and contractors in troubleshooting equipment issues. Lead reliability equipment improvements and champion Reliability Centered Maintenance. Support and manage a Mechanical Integrity program in line with OSHAs PSM 1910.119 regulation. Develop and implement Preventative Maintenance plans for equipment. Develop and implement equipment best practices, then train/coach various departments and technicians in these practices. Create, review, and update department procedures and guidelines. Support compliance efforts RCMS, ISO, PSM, OSHA, etc. Track and report on reliability metrics (MTBF, OST, OSR, MTTR). Work within and support SAP plant maintenance PM module. Lead spare parts optimizations for critical equipment, Safety and PSM identified critical equipment. Provide Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) leadership to support reliability improvements. Qualifications
Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Maintenance, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering 7-10 years of experience Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-starter with collaborative approach to resolving plant equipment issues Ability to read prints, diagrams, schematics, specifications, operations manuals, and manufacturers manuals Familiar with MOC process related to system and equipment changes Ability to train maintenance technicians Develops and modifies equipment repair/rebuild specifications Back-up support to Maintenance Supervisor and Manager as needed Ability to lead cross-functional teams to develop procedures and standards Support spare parts management and storeroom direction for stock levels Understanding of developing robust equipment PMs Experience managing a Mechanical Integrity Program Experience with ASME standards Experience facilitating 8 Step Root Cause Counter Measure Teams Preferred qualifications Experience with Process Safety Management Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment Experience working in a HPWP environment Certifications in Vibration Analysis and other Predictive Maintenance technologies Certifications in API-510, API-570, API-653 Pressure vessel design and fabrication experience Steam system experience is a plus Electrical and Instrumentation experience is a plus Experience in SAP-PM (or other CMMS) Super User Familiar with ISO-9001, Process Safety Management, RSMC, etc. Other relevant certifications: Stress Analysis, CAD, Advanced Vibration Analysis, API, ISO-Quality Certified Reliability Leader; Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional; Experience developing Reliability Block Diagrams Working requirements
Ability to ascend heights and walk on grating Work in various climates (indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions) Must pass respirator fit test and use required PPE Must work in environments with various chemicals daily Must be able to coordinate emergency situations Participation on ERT and passing all physical requirements Why Synthomer?
