Primary Purpose:
Perform all authorized/related tasks involved in the storage, repair, maintenance, checkout, check-in of district tools and equipment contained and managed by the Facility Services warehouse. Process all aspects of Facility Services warehouse requisitions, receiving, stocking, and issuing supplies and materials Qualifications: Education/Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent Valid Texas Driver's License Driving record that is insurable with PISD insurance carrier Special Knowledge/Skills:
General knowledge of equipment repair, maintenance and warehouse operations Reasonable level of welding skill and ability to perform a variety of welding repairs Basic computer skills Ability to drive heavy equipment Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Organize and maintain the tool crib to effectively use space to store various tools and equipment Check tools and equipment in and out to employees, ensuring equipment is in good working condition Maintain a key box checkout system for all key operated equipment Maintain stock for commonly used equipment Maintain a fuel supply for equipment Perform necessary welding repairs on equipment Maintain manuals and inventory on all equipment Ensure the tool crib is clean and in a safe condition Provide a considerable degree of responsibility and accountability for district funds and district safety Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Plano ISD and follow directives from supervisor Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor Perform other functions that may be assigned by the administration and/or supervisor Working Conditions: Mental Demands:
Ability to maintain emotional control during peak times and difficult customers Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Frequent walking, bending, standing, and sitting; possibility of lifting and carrying 15-75 pounds; exposure to uneven or slippery surfaces; climbing ladders Environment:
May work under conditions of inclement weather; work around dust, fumes and chemicals; noise
