Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of experience in site management, preparation, signage, fencing, and road repair. Valid Florida driver's license. Valid Florida commercial driver's license (CDL):

Class A; Air brakes endorsement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Four (4) years of experience in site management, preparation, signage, fencing, and road repair. Experience managing business/department functions. Relevant experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills. Knowledge of site preparation, signage, fencing, playgrounds, and road repair. Knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures for the functional area of assignment. Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention. Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications. Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance. Ability to comply with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and site diagrams. Ability to assist and coordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale. Revised: 07/14/23

Responsibilities

Lay out work, estimate costs, and requisition materials for assigned work orders. Perform all the duties of the Utility/Trades workers. Assist with the review of work orders/job requests and determine daily, weekly, and monthly priorities. Assist in the monitoring of work assignments by on-the-job observation and feedback from site personnel. Give instructions in a clear and easily understood manner. Assist in the hiring, training, and instruction of personnel on performance of specific tasks when required. Utilize basic District computer applications for communication, training, and record keeping. Inform supervisor of problem areas or problems in work completion. Keep school personnel informed of progress on work orders. Conduct inspections and ensure equipment maintenance schedules are followed. Work effectively under the stress of time, personnel shortages, and multiple requests. Comply with applicable safety regulations and procedures. Register with the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse. Maintain driver and CDL licensure and required endorsements.
