The Radiographer position reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Provides imaging and patient care services at defined levels to patients. Rotates through all areas of Radiology/Imaging where xray is required. Responsibilities Positions patients and selects exposure factors accurately. Ensures optimal image quality for interpretation of patient images. Implements radiation protection and safety standards. Prepares for and assists the physician with performing a variety of imaging and other procedures. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Performs other duties as assigned Required Graduation from an approved school of Radiology Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained Basic Computer knowledge Ability to read and communicate effectively in English Certified BLS Licensed IDNS Registered ARRT within 3 months of graduation, new graduates need Certificate of completion from the college. Certified by the state of Illinois to practice and administer radiation (IEMA).
