Regulatory Analyst III, Sr Or Sr Lead

Supports Regulatory Strategy team leadership to ensure that the rates and pricing needs required for large new customer (and large expansion) rate determinations, new special rate contracts and certain new pricing mechanisms are provided timely through coordination with the Operating Company teams, Regulatory Filings, Utility Rates and Pricing, Accounting, Finance and the Customer organization. Provides best in class customer service to the Operating Companies and develop expert witness testimony in support on regulatory filings. Responsible for timely and accurate development of pricing models, rate design analysis, revenue requirement analysis for specified investment, cost effectiveness testing for new rates and programs, and where appropriate, new pricing strategies and rate development for regulatory filings. Job Duties/Responsibilities
Assist Regulatory Services leadership in the development and evaluation of the revenue and pricing for large new customers, or expansions. This position will support in the development of pricing models and research to support the Operating Company teams in the determination of appropriate rates to be used in management evaluation and as needed, regulatory filings. Support regulatory filings for the development of rates, pricing of new offerings or special rate contracts, cost effectiveness tests, and new rates/pricing and product/service offerings required in support of Operating Company regulatory filings. Create and update process documentation, assist in the development of automation (where appropriate), and support cross-training. Provide timely reporting of project status, issues identification, and assist in the development of potential solutions recommendations to Regulatory Strategy leadership associated with revenue and pricing for large new customers, or expansions. Support the Large Customer Pricing team in developing and deploying new analytical solutions and tools; enhancing and optimizing current analytical techniques to provide pricing evaluations, revenue requirements and revenues, customer bill impacts, impacts on existing customers, and benchmark customer rates to provide best in class customer service to Operating Company leadership. Must possess advanced analytical proficiency and the ability to prepare and communicate accurate data for evaluation of revenue requirements, rate design, new pricing structures and mechanisms, commercial development and innovation, accounting and sales, and other job functions. Analysis performed by the position will be shared within Entergy to support the various regulatory initiatives and ultimately impacts Entergy's customer rates, use in financial planning processes, and emerging products and services offered to the customer. Support the development of expert written and oral testimony and respond to discovery before the APSC, MPSC, PUCT, LPSC, FERC and the New Orleans City Council on rate design and other ratemaking matters. Works closely with the various Economic Development and Customer groups to evaluate current opportunities, tools, and pricing processes to determine enhancements and modifications that would facilitate further load growth. Minimum education required for the position: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, Business, Statistics, or related field Preferred: MBA or advanced degree Minimum experience required of the position: Regulatory Analyst III 2-3 years Regulatory Analyst Sr 3-5 years Regulatory Analyst Sr Lead 7+ years Preferred: Desired candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in a relevant role within the electric utility industry Desired: Minimum 2+ years with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Desired: Experience in developing customer data analytics, electricity pricing, electric utility billing, and/or highly related experience. Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Attention to details. Self-starter and requires minimal supervision. Advanced PC skills, experience in data analytics, Microsoft Office and other business applications. Strong ability to develop detailed spreadsheets required. Ability to perform analysis and convert that analysis into a meaningful summary for which to make business decisions and recommendations. Excellent organizational skills and project management skills. Ability to prioritize work and work effectively on multiple assignments simultaneously. Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities. Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse team setting.
