Wade Litigation
This is a growing Civil Litigation, Probate Litigation and Family Law group focused on serving California individuals and businesses.
Primary duties will include handling litigation cases such as breach of contract claims, family law cases, real estate disputes, real property disputes, construction defect disputes, employment law disputes, etc., meeting with clients, drafting pleadings, administering depositions, propounding and responding to discovery, conducting research, writing motions, making court appearances, arguing motions, participating in trials, interviewing witnesses, drafting agreements, negotiating settlements, attending mediations, and arbitrations, handling civil litigation cases and other activities requested by the partners.
Responsibilities:
Handling litigation cases
Meeting with clients
Drafting pleadings
Administering depositions
Propounding and responding to discovery
Conducting research
Writing motions
Making court appearances
Arguing motions
Participating in trials
Interviewing witnesses
Drafting agreements
Negotiating settlements
Attending mediations and arbitrations
Handling litigation cases and other activities requested by the partners
Qualifications:
Must be a licensed California attorney
Excellent academic credentials
1+ years of experience as a licensed attorney
Required Skills:
Strong work ethic and reliability are a must
Exemplary client service skills with prompt response levels at all times
Desire to make court appearances, argue motions, and participate in hearings
Detail-oriented with strong drafting and negotiating skills
Ability to communicate legal subject matter to non-attorneys
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Business judgment and strategic legal thinking
Ability to manage workflow independently to meet firm deadlines while achieving business and risk management objectives
Courtroom experience preferred but not a prerequisite
Knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure
