Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Restoration Technician to join our property damage restoration and construction team. The Restoration Technician will restore residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, and other damages, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., IICRC, EPA). This hands-on role requires proficiency in restoration techniques, power tools, and safety protocols, along with a professional demeanor and strong teamwork. Candidates must have restoration experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities Perform water damage restoration, including extraction, drying, and monitoring, per IICRC standards. Conduct fire and smoke damage restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement, adhering to EPA and safety regulations. Demolish, repair, and rebuild affected structures as needed, using hand and power tools. Set up, operate, and monitor restoration equipment, ensuring proper function and safety. Document job progress using software and communicate updates via email and apps to internal teams and clients. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all job sites. Load, transport, and unload tools, equipment, and materials to job sites. Represent the company professionally, following guidelines to ensure respectful behavior on client properties. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time. Requirements & Skills
Previous experience in restoration services (water, fire, mold, or asbestos) required. Current IICRC certification or ability to obtain certification through study and exams. Proficiency with hand and power tools; knowledge of restoration equipment and techniques. Strong understanding of industry standards (IICRC, EPA) and safety practices. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure in emergency situations. Effective communication skills for documenting progress and interacting with teams and clients. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Must pass a background check and meet company eligibility standards. Bilingual (English/Spanish) and carpet cleaning experience are a plus. Work Environment
Work in various conditions, including water- or fire-damaged properties, requiring protective equipment. Physical demands include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
