Front Desk Supervisor

is responsible for assisting the Assistant General Manager and/or General Manager in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests throughout their stay. The role involves maximizing room revenue and occupancy. This is a working supervisor role across all departments, setting a high standard of professionalism and service as an example to others within the hotel. QUALIFICATIONS: College coursework in a related field is helpful. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Valid driver's license for the applicable state is required. Ability to convey information and ideas clearly. Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Ability to work well under stress, including handling guest objections and disputes satisfactorily. Initiative in job performance, including anticipating needs before they arise. Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure. Effective problem-solving skills in the workplace. Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt as needed. Effective listening skills to understand and clarify concerns of guests and co-workers. RESPONSIBILITIES: Approach all guest and associate interactions in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag. Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times. Set the standard for guest relations at the Front Desk. Gather necessary information when taking room reservations. Understand and execute all relevant phases of the front desk computer system. Ensure timely logging and delivery of messages, packages, and mail. Be aware of current rates, packages, and promotions. Familiarize with all in-house groups and restricted dates. Perform all duties of a Front Desk Agent. Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with colleagues and other departments. Know and assist with emergency procedures as required. Oversee guest check-in/check-out in a courteous and efficient manner. Complete all shift tasks and duties efficiently. Ensure staff are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous. Maximize room revenue through effective merchandising. Respond to guest inquiries promptly and professionally. Participate in departmental meetings and planning. Help maintain productivity at or above budgeted standards. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Assist in training new hires and current staff regularly. Attend required meetings.
