Die Setter Job Description Summary:Support the molding department by performing mold changes to meet productionrequirements. Qualifications:Five years recent experience performing die set-ups, changes and troubleshooting in plastic injection mold machines. Demonstrates knowledge of a wide variety of tools, material variations and quality standards. Must be computer literate. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing. EducationHigh School diploma or GED is required. Job Responsibilities:Responsible for all mold changes per the production schedule along with anyemergency changes.Responsible for changing any die inserts per the production schedule.Responsible for unloading and loading all die shipments.Responsible for proper setup of all injection molding machines, including dies, settings, chiller, thermolaters, and hot runners.Responsible for all needed assembly or secondary operation equipment in the work center.Responsible for maintaining a neat and organized die storage area.Responsible for cleaning up area after completed die set.Responsible for correcting any leaks with air, water, and hydraulics.Responsible for filling out all required paperwork and submitting in a timely fashion.Responsible for removing all unnecessary equipment from work centers not being utilized for the next die set.Responsible for ensuring any necessary supplies related to die set are communicated through the proper channels to get ordered.Responsible for pulling and setting a die in halves if repairs are necessary.Responsible for following all OSHA and safety rules along with Mold Master Company policies and procedures. Physical Requirements:Frequent lifting and lowering of objects up to 50lbs.Occasional bending, stooping, and crouching.Frequent reaching above or below shoulderFrequently standing or walking for long periods.INDLap
