The Senior Environmental Project Manager will join a collaborative team in Indianapolis, IN and will identify and manage environmental/engineering projects and proposals, conduct engineering research and analysis, and supervise field investigations and laboratory analyses. The role focuses on managing diverse projects and restoring the environment and returning blighted properties to productive reuse while protecting and enhancing environmental quality. Responsibilities Perform complex analyses for portions of broader engineering and environmental projects. Identify and pursue new clients, develop additional work within existing projects, and attend business development meetings with clients. Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for project assignments; coach, train, and motivate staff; participate in interviewing and hiring. Supervise field activities and ensure accurate interpretation of findings; ensure data collection and laboratory analyses are completed correctly, within budget, and on time. Manage multiple projects and tasks within budgets, schedules, and deadlines; prepare progress reports, change orders, invoices, and assist in payments. Organize, write, and edit reports, draft proposals, and other documents. Coordinate with other work groups across offices and disciplines as needed. Interface professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, and project personnel. Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science; Masters degree preferred. In-depth knowledge of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations. 10+ years of practical experience with environmental investigations and remediation projects. Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) required. Strong people, project, and client management skills. Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software. Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits; valid drivers license in good standing.
