Senior Accountant
This Senior Accountant position with our large Health Care client reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for supporting financial reporting and accounting operations. The role will contribute to the accuracy of the company's financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Additionally, this position will assist in evaluating complex transactions, providing guidance to management, and supporting audits and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate results. Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis. Perform fluctuation analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts. Review general ledger activity for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification. Assist with consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations. Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external financial reporting. Conduct technical accounting research and recommend appropriate accounting treatments. Partner with auditors during financial statement reviews and annual audits. Monitor and assist in the implementation of new accounting standards. Collaborate with leadership to provide accounting insight on complex transactions. Perform ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including public accounting or healthcare industry exposure. CPA strongly preferred. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar) is a plus. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting. Proven experience in general ledger including month-end close and reconciliations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
