Structural Engineering Internship

Olsson's Facility Engineering and Design Team is at the forefront of engineering innovation, providing comprehensive services for large commercial developments, healthcare facilities, laboratories, educational institutions, data centers, and military installations. As a structural engineering student intern, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You'll be part of a team, working for our clients on projects with our experienced engineers. You will assist in all areas of conventional structural design and analytical duties including preparing calculations and writing technical reports. You will also assist with construction document production in Revit and may have opportunities to travel to job sites for construction observation. You are passionate about working collaboratively with others, having ownership in the work you do, and using your talents to positively affect communities. You bring to the team strong communication skills, the ability to contribute and work well on a team, and are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or architectural engineering (structural emphasis). Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit is preferred, as well as working knowledge in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong problem-solving and math skills are also required. Olsson is a nationally recognized, employee-owned firm specializing in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental, and technology. Founded in 1956 on the very mindset that drives us today, we're here to improve communities by making them more sustainable, better connected, and more efficient. Simply put, we work to leave the world better than we found it. As an Olsson employee, you'll receive our traditional benefits package (health care, vision, dental, paid time off, etc.), plus you'll: become an owner in the company after your first year through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), engage in work that has a positive impact on communities, receive an excellent 401(k) match, participate in a wellness program promoting balanced lifestyles, benefit from a bonus system that rewards performance, and have the possibility for flexible work arrangements. Olsson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We encourage qualified minority, female, veteran, and disabled candidates to apply and be considered for open positions.
