The Avery Dennison Identification Solutions group is looking for a Technical Process Specialist to join the Operations Team at our manufacturing site in Miamisburg, Ohio. The Technical Process Specialist is a master operator with extensive knowledge of both printing and slitting processes. This role is a combination of hands-on expertise, technical troubleshooting, and process ownership. The ideal candidate not only excels at operating the machinery but also serves as a go-to resource for their colleagues, driving continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards of quality. As a Technical Process Specialist, you will be the key technical expert on the production floor. You will play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production by providing hands-on expertise, troubleshooting complex issues, and mentoring team members. Your work will directly support our continuous improvement initiatives and help us maintain our commitment to operational excellence. Roles and Responsibilities

As the Process and Technical Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make an impact by: Promote Safety and EH&S: Promoting a culture of safety as a key initiative in the organization by actively contributing to environmental, health, and safety training and process improvements. Continuous Improvement: Partnering with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to champion and support Lean Sigma projects to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall processes. Operations & Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for production floor issues. Provide expert guidance to Press Operators on the operation and maintenance of flexographic printing presses and turret slitter machines. Training and Mentorship: Train and support new and existing team members, helping them master complex setups and troubleshooting techniques to elevate the team's skill level. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement: Conduct detailed inspections of all materials and tooling. Maintain rigorous quality control standards via in process gemba, ensuring all products meet or exceed customer specifications. Continuously review and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste providing feedback to the Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams. Production Coordination: Collaborate with Supervisors, Group Leaders, and other departments to ensure a smooth, continuous flow of work. Assist with planning and material coordination to meet production goals. Qualifications

To set you up for success in this role, Avery Dennison requires the following qualifications: 6-8 years of experience in an engineering function in a manufacturing environment Bachelor's Degree in related field (Engineering, Mechanical/Industrial) preferred Proven expertise in operating both flexographic presses and turret slitter machines. Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to high-quality standards. Proficiency with measurement tools, including overlay gauges and shop scales. Excellent interpersonal skills for training, mentoring and collaboration. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, may also serve in a lead capacity. Efficient computer skills to be able to provide production reporting and material ordering. Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the operator roles, including lifting, standing, and bending. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed in this role are as follows: Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Self Motivated and commitment to drive projects to completions with positive outcomes Ability to execute multiple projects with minimal supervision Display adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced, and matrixed organization Additional Information
