Job Description
The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests, prior to arrival and throughout their stay. The role also involves maximizing room revenue and occupancy. Qualifications
At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; High School diploma or equivalent required. College coursework in a related field is helpful. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state. Excellent communication and evaluation skills. Ability to work well under stress, handle guest objections, and resolve disputes. Proactive in job performance, anticipating needs before they arise. Maintains composure and objectivity under pressure. Effective problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex information. Strong listening and understanding abilities. Basic arithmetic skills and ability to understand financial data. Responsibilities
Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and staff. Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming. Ensure compliance with hotel standards and regulations for safety and efficiency. Manage guest relations, reservations, VIP requests, and communication logs. Operate the front desk computer system effectively. Handle messages, packages, and mail professionally and promptly. Be knowledgeable about current rates, promotions, and hotel policies. Perform duties of a Front Desk Agent when required. Oversee shift tasks, including check-in/out, and ensure team adherence to standards. Maximize room revenue through merchandising. Participate in departmental meetings and training. Assist in emergency procedures and maintain security of sensitive areas. Train and mentor new and current staff. Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and team cooperation. Benefits
