Web3 Energy Innovator is looking for a Senior to lead Backend Engineer to join their growing team. Salary: $165,000 - $230,000 per year. This range is provided by Jobot. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend systems and APIs using Python Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure to support crypto-based energy solutions Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and blockchain teams to define and deliver new features Own technical decision-making and guide backend engineering best practices across the team Drive code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and documentation Optimize backend systems for reliability, scalability, and performance in a fast-paced startup environment Stay current with emerging technologies in crypto, distributed systems, and backend architecture Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience developing backend software applications in Python, ideally within SaaS, fintech, startup, or product-driven environments High ownership, detail-orientation, and a proactive, self-directed work style Experience with Django is preferred, also open to Flask or FastAPI Experience setting up CI/CD and managing cloud resources Cloud experience with GCP or AWS Experience working with databases such as Postgres Experience building APIs and microservices Interest in crypto Bonus Points
Previous experience working at a crypto exchange or DeFi company is a plus Exposure to LLM workflows, or other AI-native systems is a plus Node, TypeScript, React are a plus Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
