Minimum Requirements 5+ years of experience building and maintaining a production system at scale An understanding of modern API development best practices and design Experience in building data models, managing database migrations and best practices, and infrastructure configuration An ability to thrive in a fast paced environment A growth mindset and a constant curiosity and fearlessness to dive into the unknown An ability to write maintainable, well-tested, modular code, but also be pragmatic about moving fast Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear technical documentation Preferred Qualifications Strong preference for experience in an API-based business and in payments, fintech, or crypto Written open-source developer tooling Published about your work (open source code, internal or external presentations, blog posts, etc.) Past experience working in authentication or security In-office expectations
Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in their local office or with users. This may vary by role, team and location. Some sites have higher in-office requirements; the hiring manager will discuss specifics with the team. This approach balances in-person collaboration with flexibility where possible. Pay and benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $187,500 - $281,300. This range may be narrowed during the interview process based on experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants not located in the US may request the salary range for their location during the interview process. Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends. Seniority level
