CNN is looking for a VP, Health & Wellness to lead the expansion and transformation of CNNs efforts in the space. This role will report into the SVP, New Business. The New Business group was formed earlier this year to create differentiated, standalone lifestyle products that can enrich our users lives, extend CNNs daily relevance to our audience, and drive the long-term success of CNNs subscription business. Health & Wellness coverage has long been a critical part of our core news offering and it continues to be an essential part of what our readers expect from our brand. Moreover, this coverage provides a perfect gateway into daily, actionable guidance and inspiration that our audience want. We are looking for a customer-centric leader who can bring tireless energy and ambition that helps us fulfill our aspiration of helping our readers live a longer, healthier life. As the general manager, you will lead the transformation of CNNs Health and Wellness vertical. This ownership includes working with the editorial lead to develop a new vision for this vertical, grounded in customer needs and insights, and the multi-platform execution of it. As we think about the new shape of our offering, you will lead efforts to surface and design against customer needs in the space. You will be valued for your user-centered mindset, your ability to work with partners in product, editorial, design, research and data to gather quantitative and qualitative feedback and craft them into actionable insights that make our offering truly must use. In this effort you will partner closely with editorial to drive a coordinated and deliberate effort across: design, product, technology, marketing, audience, sales, and other disciplines. This will require coalition building through continual communication, infectious energy, persuasion and high EQ. Through this coordination, you will be the continual champion of change and ambition. For this, you will bring an infectious energy that will inspire others to step up and collectively realize our vision. You understand the media landscape, and you are innovative, and committed to pushing theboundaries of CNN. Qualifications & Experience 12+ years of general management or product ownership experience. Experience delivering new end-to-end product experiences in the media space features for a global brand. Experience in people and change management, directing both direct reports and dotted line cross-functional partners. Prior experience in the Health and Wellness is a plus. A deep interest in the space is a must. This experience and interest will be valuable as shape our strategy and drive tactical execution in the space. More than 1 or 2 years at a publisher or software company in the health media space is ideal. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate and present to stakeholders at all levels of the business. Demonstrate strong ownership to deliver exceptional customer experiences and customer empathy. Experience working with and managing the needs of multiple stakeholders and business teams. Experience driving clarity in ambiguous situations and drive forward progress. Experience with data analysis and driving insights and making business decisions through data. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discoverys total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $184,803.00 - $343,205.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
