BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a
Senior Computer Systems Analyst
for the MD and PA areas. These are full-time, remote roles with travel to Government or Contractor facilities as required in PA and MD. The typical workday is 8 hours, scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, with core hours 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. covered. Responsibilities As a
Senior Computer Systems Analyst , provide technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks; this includes reviewing work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and user standards, and progress in accordance with schedules. Coordinating with the Program Manager to ensure problem solutions and user satisfaction. Making recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations. Preparing milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end-user representatives. Providing daily supervision and direction to support staff.
Basic Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline; or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
Specialized Experience
The proposed candidate must have at least five (5) years of experience in analysis and design of business applications for complex large-scale or mid-tier computer systems, or LAN-based systems, including experience in Database Management Systems (DBMS), and use of programming languages. This individual must have knowledge of current storage and retrieval methods and demonstrate the ability to formulate specifications for computer programmers to use in coding, testing, and debugging of computer programs.
Preferred Qualifications
The proposed candidate must have at least eight (8) years of computer experience working independently or under general direction on complex application problems involving all phases of systems analysis.
