Network Technician with Security Clearance

Job Title: Network Technician Telecommute: No (8090% travel; 1020% remote work possible) Clearance Type: Secret Clearance (Active) Security Certification Required Work Shift: 1st Shift Travel: Yes, 8090% of the time (CONUS and possible OCONUS) Description: This role supports the Department of Defenses transition to the newly built DoDNET by upgrading outdated networking equipment across hundreds of sites. The technician will travel extensively to decommission, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (WAPs). Responsibilities include racking and stacking servers, documenting site upgrades, and ensuring readiness for migration. This is a high-visibility, mission-critical project with national impact. Basic Qualifications: 35 years of experience decommissioning, configuring, and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and WAPs 13 years of experience racking/stacking servers or working in a data center environment Strong communication and documentation skills U.S. citizenship and ability to maintain an active Secret clearance Security certification Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with WAN infrastructure and Cisco hardware Experience working in high-travel roles or with federal agencies Active passport for potential OCONUS travel Clearance Level: Secret This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret) Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required TEKsystems Benefits: Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan or program terms.
