Our family of schools includes three middle schools (Grades 6-8), fifteen elementary schools (TK/K-5), three schools with all grades (K-8), and one Early Education Center. We also have preschools co-located at our six elementary sites. We have various theme based schools: Montessori, Immersion (Spanish and Mandarin), and STEM.
ACHIEVEMENT GOAL: Create learning opportunities for ALL Pre-K through 8th students resulting in closing the achievement gap and culminating in personal and academic success in high school and beyond.

Job Summary
San Mateo-Foster City School District is accepting applications for our Para Educator II Exceptional Children Pool (teacher assistants) in our special needs classrooms. District Office - 1 Position - 6.5 hours per day (Nursing Department - one-on-one Paraeducator needed) George Hall - 1 Position - 6.5 hours per day Various Sites - 2 Positions - 6.5 hours per day Definition: Under general supervision, to provide specialized instructional, behavioral, physical, and medical assistance to exceptional students with severe handicaps; to operate a specialized learning center for special needs students; to provide instructional record keeping support; to perform routine clerical duties; and to perform related work as required. Assist student in toileting and personal hygiene, change soiled clothing and remind student to use bathroom.
