Senior Solutions Architect

The Senior Solutions Architect oversees the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise-wide technology solutions across academic, clinical, research, and administrative domains at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM). This role ensures that MSM's technology infrastructure is secure, scalable, and compliant while advancing the institution's mission in education, research, and health equity. Working closely with IT leadership, faculty, staff, and external partners, the Senior Solutions Architect translates business needs into actionable technical strategies and provides expert guidance on architecture standards, systems integration, and innovation initiatives. This role is based on the campus of Morehouse School of Medicine, in Atlanta, GA, and will report to the Director of Decision Support Systems and Data Analytics. These roles may be filled at the senior or junior level contingent upon the credentials and skills of the candidate. Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university. - 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 2+ years in a Solutions Architecture role. - Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise-scale solutions and integrations. - Hands-on experience with higher education and/or healthcare systems such as Ellucian Banner, Workday, Salesforce, or EHR/EMR platforms. Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or TOGAF. - Experience designing data lakehouse architectures in Microsoft Fabric or equivalent platforms. - Knowledge of research data management, grant systems, or clinical data workflows. - Experience integrating ServiceNow, SharePoint, or workflow automation tools into enterprise environments. - A master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred. Job Duties

Primary Responsibilities: Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design Data Governance, Compliance & Security Collaboration & Leadership Innovation & Strategic Growth Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Strong leadership, organizational, and collaboration skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams. - Proven expertise in cloud platforms (Azure preferred), enterprise system integration, and scalable solution design. - Advanced knowledge of SQL, Power BI, data modeling, and modern data lakehouse technologies. - Understanding of compliance, governance, and security frameworks for healthcare and higher education. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to mentor, train, and guide staff in architectural standards and implementation best practices.
