TITLE:
Principal - Middle School
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Pennsylvania certificate as a School Principal as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. At least five years of successful teaching experience. Hold a master's degree, as well as completed all administrative coursework and internship for administration. Worked in public education within the last three years. Have knowledge of curriculum and the instructional process. REPORTS TO:

SUPERVISES:
All Middle School faculty and staff
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report to and support the administration in carrying out the mission and vision of MaST Community Charter School II. Observe, supervise, and evaluate elementary school teachers, counselors, and staff to further the MaST vision for excellence using the Danielson Model. Provide teachers with timely and constructive feedback via walkthroughs and informal/formal observations based on classroom instruction and management to positively develop teacher practice. Purposely build leadership capacity among teachers and staff Support the professional growth of staff members in a differentiated manner based on identified needs and goals in Individual Professional Development Plans Support the development and implementation of SLOs Responsible for developing leadership among Middle School staff, overseeing department leaders and team teachers, and providing ongoing input to bi-weekly team meetings Collaborate with the Network Head of Curriculum and other administrators on developing, implementing, and monitoring curriculum guidelines and curriculum improvement Work with K-12 administrators and RTII staff to monitor and implement the school RTII program and assist with data analysis Student Assistance Program (SAP) Administrator for Middle School Supervise and facilitate in creating the master schedule and placement of students based on data. Assist with Testing Coordination. Work with the attendance officer to monitor attendance compliance to reduce chronic absenteeism and attend student attendance improvement plan meetings. Supervise student and staff procedures, supervision of students during morning arrival, lunch, recess, and dismissal Ensure a safe, secure, and orderly environment and manage student discipline in collaboration with the Dean of Students. Be a visible and consistent presence in the building and other locations during travel times. Attends school-wide and upper-school events and programs Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Principal or other district administrator as designated by the CEO.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve (12) months. Contract terms and salary to be determined by the Board of Trustees.
EVALUATION: The performance
of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of state law, administrative code, and the Board's policy on the evaluation of the Building Leader.
