Facilities Telecommunication Engineer A Global Manufacturing company is seeking a Facilities Telecommunication Engineer. Must have experience in facilities. Position Overview Seeking a skilled Facilities Telecommunication Engineer to serve as the technical owner and subject matter expert for telecommunications systems within an advanced manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting telecommunication infrastructure, including public address systems, CCTV, and other facility telecommunications networks. The engineer will oversee documentation development, preventive maintenance, and compliance with all safety and regulatory standards while working closely with technicians and service providers to ensure reliable system performance. Key Responsibilities Review project drawings and specifications to ensure requirements are met; regularly inspect construction sites to monitor progress and quality. Prepare for equipment commissioning, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operational handover. Develop and maintain documentation, including PM job plans, operating procedures, training programs, and action plans. Conduct training sessions and on-the-job training (OJT) to enhance technician skills. Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive and corrective maintenance, recommending improvements to optimize performance and costs. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for telecommunications equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. Plan and oversee telecommunication infrastructure layouts, specifications, cost estimates, and phased construction planning. Lead expansion and modification projects, including bidding, on-site supervision, equipment hook-up, testing, and system handover. Support emergency broadcast testing during fire inspections and drills. Ensure compliance with OEM standards, environmental protection requirements, and regulatory codes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage vendor relationships and optimize project outcomes. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications engineering or related field. Knowledge of network systems, hub integration, security monitoring, and 24/7 operations. Experience in designing, implementing, managing, and leading vendor and project management for large-scale IT or telecommunications systems. Strong understanding of engineering and construction laws, codes, and compliance practices. Proficiency in telecommunications processes, safety procedures, and project execution. Strong team-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to communicate across departments and with external contractors. Proficiency in MS Office and technical software for design, modeling, and documentation. Ability to work overtime or respond to emergency situations as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including confined spaces and elevated areas. Must safely climb ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and work on platforms or roofs. Tolerance for sensory demands such as industrial smells and high-noise environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience in environmental facilities, large-scale plant operations, or semiconductor/advanced manufacturing industries. Previous involvement in cleanroom utility equipment management, facility optimization, energy-saving initiatives, and utility operations. Background in trade-specific licensing or legal compliance management is a plus. Seniority level
