Job Overview: The team is seeking talented Software Engineers to support engineering teams in building world-class Augmented and Mixed Reality (AR/MR) hardware and software. This role involves contributing to cutting-edge research and development of machine perception technologies, from early concepts to production-level solutions, across AR/MR products and surfaces. The team focuses on areas such as Spatial AI, Avatars, AR/MR remote presence, AR Commerce, and more.
In this position, you will develop data collection tools to work with specialized hardware, enabling large-scale real-world data collection to train and evaluate machine learning models.
Responsibilities: Design and implement core data collection tooling components. Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables. Maintain, analyze, and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of system infrastructure. Establish ownership of specific components, features, or systems with expert end-to-end understanding. Successfully complete large-scope projects while maintaining consistent productivity. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in Python or C++, with experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing user-facing applications. Experience with Linux command-line tools and shell scripting. Preferred Qualifications:
MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting using tools like iwconfig, ifconfig, netstat, and tcpdump. Knowledge of Android Debug Bridge (ADB) for device communication and control. Experience with debugging tools for diagnosing and resolving issues within Linux operating systems and networking layers. Top 3 Must-Have Skills:
Proficiency in Python or C/C++. Experience with Linux command-line tools and shell scripting. Familiarity with Ethernet and WiFi networking protocols. Good-to-Have Skills:
Strong skills in writing and debugging bash scripts for automation tasks, such as log collection, system monitoring, and routine maintenance. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document troubleshooting steps and solutions. Years of Experience Needed:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, with at least 2+ years of industrial experience. Typical Day in the Role:
Collaborating with team members on projects. Coding and conducting code reviews. Writing design documents and brainstorming solutions. Maintaining production systems. Additional Notes:

Pay Range: $85 - $100
