Swingtech is currently seeking a

Cyber Infrastructure Engineer

to support the Air Force Research Laboratory's Information Directorate (AFRL/RI). The engineer will design, implement, and secure enterprise-level cyber infrastructure in support of mission-critical research and development initiatives. This position requires deep expertise in networking, systems engineering, virtualization, and cybersecurity, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal system performance, availability, and security.

RESPONSIBILITIES •Design and document secure infrastructure architectures for AFRL/RI environments. •Implement and manage virtualized and physical server environments. •Configure and harden systems, network devices, and services to meet DoD security standards. •Optimize network segmentation and traffic flow for performance and security. •Manage identity and access control solutions. •Integrate cybersecurity tools and continuous monitoring capabilities into operational environments. •Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and connectivity issues. •Remediate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security baselines and STIGs. •Support Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes, including documentation and system scans. •Automate system provisioning, patch management, and configuration updates. •Support backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies. •Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation. •Contribute to risk management planning and lifecycle documentation. •Prepare technical reports, status updates, and executive-level presentations.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS •

Clearance:

Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI). •

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred). •

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in cyber infrastructure engineering, including work in DoD or Intelligence Community environments. •Strong knowledge of:

o Network architecture and protocols

o Virtualization platforms

o Operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, Unix)

o Enterprise storage and backup systems

o Configuration management tools

o Security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM) •Familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD STIG compliance requirements. •Experience supporting enclave/network boundary security and DoD cloud environments a plus. •Preferred certifications:

Security+, CISSP, CEH, CCNA/CCNP, or MCSE

. •Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
