In this role, you will be a hands-on leader in process improvement, continuous improvement, and floor support. This role focuses on implementing LEAN manufacturing principles to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (SQDCM), while ensuring manufacturability of current and future products. The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, quality, supply chain, and R&D to optimize production processes, support new product introductions (NPI), and contribute to the company's rapid growth trajectory.What You'll DoAs a Manufacturing Engineer:Continuous Improvement & Lean InitiativesIdentify and execute process improvement opportunities using Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, line balancing, value stream mapping).Analyze workflow, space utilization, and equipment layouts for efficiency and safety.Manufacturing SupportSpend significant time on the production floor, supporting assembly staff and troubleshooting issues.Design fixtures, templates, and manufacturing aids to improve assembly quality and efficiency.Maintain and update manufacturing process documentation (MPs, routers, SOPs).Quality & ValidationFollow and document validation activities: IQ/OQ/PQ, PFMEA, Master Validation Plans.Conduct test method and process validations, including protocol development and execution.Support nonconformance resolution (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).New Product Introduction (NPI)Collaborate with R&D to ensure DFM/DFA principles are applied.Support new product launches and facility transfers from prototype to production.Project LeadershipLead projects independently, from planning through documentation and execution.Prepare and manage Capital Expenditure Requests (CER) and track project budgets.What You'll NeedBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.3-5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience (medical device preferred, capital equipment ideal).Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to collaborate across teams.Experience in fixture/template design and process improvement.Proficiency with Lean manufacturing tools and principles.Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ validations and PFMEA.Perks of the JobCompensation: Base: $100,000 - $110,000 base + 10% bonus + stock optionsOther Benefits:Medical: Health Partners Medical ($3,200 deductible plan, 100% coverage thereafter)Dental and Vision (EyeMed) with an HSA (no corporate contribution to HSA).
