to help deliver complex industrial design and construction projects. In this role, youll apply your expertise in water and wastewater treatment, process engineering, and infrastructure designfrom planning through construction and startup. Youll work across sectors such as manufacturing, mining, aerospace, food & beverage, pulp & paper, and high-tech, collaborating with internal teams and clients. As a technical leader, youll guide project execution, mentor junior staff, and help ensure high-quality, integrated design solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead technical design and delivery on industrial water, wastewater, and process infrastructure projects. Provide oversight and guidance from project inception through construction and startup operations. Perform and review complex engineering calculations, process modeling, and equipment sizing. Manage preparation of design drawings, technical specifications, and reports. Collaborate closely with project managers on scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and staffing. Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and a collaborative culture. Participate in client meetings, quality reviews, proposal development, and business development activities. Leverage existing client relationships to support service expansion. Travel to client sites, project locations, and Kennedy Jenks offices as needed. Requirements: BS or MS in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, or other related engineering field. 10+ years of engineering experience in planning, design, construction, and commissioning. Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months required. Demonstrated experience working directly with clients to define project needs, provide technical leadership, and ensure successful delivery. Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior or mid-level staff; prior supervisory responsibilities a plus. Prior experience with industrial water, industrial wastewater, mechanical infrastructure, system controls, process automation, or process design preferred. Experience managing scope, schedule, budget, and coordination across planning, design, and construction phases. Proficiency with engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Excel) preferred. The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $120,000 to $170,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/ certifications and geographic location.
