Automation Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to support all on-site industrial control systems, including BMS, PMS, EMS, PCS infrastructure, and RLAN IT/OT architecture. This role is essential to the development, implementation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring compliance with GMP and non-GMP standards. Responsibilities: Design and install instrumentation and control systems (BAS, data systems, process control, DCS, utility PLCs) Maintain lifecycle and change control processes for all automation systems Troubleshoot and support maintenance teams with instrumentation and control systems Develop training programs to enhance team capabilities in automation technologies Collaborate with vendors and consultants to ensure technical specifications and delivery standards Stay current with advancements in instrumentation and control technologies Interface with cross-functional teams to align with local and corporate standards Provide technical expertise during regulatory audits Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) Support full implementation of automation infrastructure Required Skills and Experience: 35 years of experience developing automation systems GMP experience in pharmaceutical or food & beverage environments Proficiency in:

PLC programming (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley) SCADA systems (Ignition preferred; FactoryTalk acceptable) DCS and other automation platforms

Integration experience with third-party systems Familiarity with:

ISA-88, ISA-95, GAMP FDA regulations and cGMP guidelines Validation processes (IQ, OQ, PQ) IT/OT integration concepts

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Automation Engineering (required) Advanced technical degrees (preferred) Additional Competencies: Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to manage automation system lifecycle and digital integration Experience supporting large-scale automation projects from concept to commissioning Skills: Automation, PLC, SCADA, GMP, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, BMS, PMS, EMS, PCS, DCS, ISA-88, ISA-95, GAMP, IQ/OQ/PQ, IT/OT Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
