Heat Treat Operator
This is a second shift position, with work hours of 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Responsibilities Set up and operate miscellaneous types of electric, gas or oil-fired furnaces equipped with temperature recording devices Print and schematic reading Adhere to all Safety procedures and practices, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Spaces, Hoist operations, and other pertinent safety items. Load and unload parts into the various heat treating furnaces Loading / unloading transfer carts Keep accurate records to include heat treating cards Transfer component baskets to tempering ovens Start up and shut down furnace operations Perform pre-heat and tempering operations Perform weekly / daily checks and PMs as scheduled Follow work instructions / training documents / control plans Maintain accurate records and documents Run product to heat treat specs Perform tumble operations Perform work in a team environment; contribute to the team decision making process Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work instructions. Ability to read gauges, instruments, and other measuring devices. Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license and operations ability. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset. Good teamwork and communication abilities. This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data ("CTD") and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
