Clinical Pediatric Geneticist at Children's HospitalWe are seeking a dedicated Clinical Pediatric Geneticist to join our leading-edge Genetics Practice in the heart of Philadelphia, PA. This position offers a supportive team environment, advanced research opportunities, and the ability to educate tomorrow's doctors.Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 per yearEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide genetics consultations and screenings focusing on conditions like pediatric cancers and intellectual disabilities. Perform thorough evaluations and consults for birth defects, developmental delays, and suspected genetic abnormalities. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, and administrative staff. Design and lead educational initiatives for medical students and residents. Engage in cutting-edge research studies and clinical trials aimed at advancing the field of pediatric genetics. Develop strong rapport with a diverse patient base to facilitate tailored, empathetic care solutions. Provide crucial inpatient consultation services within the hospital setting.Minimum Position Qualifications: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Clinical Genetics & Genomics (ABMGG). Possession of an unrestricted PA medical license at the time of employment. Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification specific to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a hospital setting with a high acuity level NICU or PICU. Previous involvement in genomics research or clinical trials.Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a focus on clinical genetic disorders. Excellent communication abilities to effectively educate and engage with patients and staff.
