We are seeking a career-minded Water/Wastewater Engineer with an eye towards advancement to join our growing Water/Wastewater consulting practice. The employee will lead engineering design projects in the water/wastewater sector, utilizing knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards, and processes. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects, developing and analyzing design elements, coordinating with design teams, and ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects. The successful candidate will work on projects such as sewer rehabilitation, new sewer and water distribution design, water/wastewater treatment, and pump station projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role requires providing efficient engineering services with limited supervision to support project objectives and ensure customer satisfaction, delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget. Compensation

Hourly rate: $45-55, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications. The range provided is an estimate; actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Analyze project requirements and develop reports for submission. Review survey reports, maps, drawings, and topographical data for project planning. Assess system performance deficiencies and develop solutions for planning and design. Demonstrate familiarity with hydraulic design, sewer rehabilitation, water and sewer design, pump station and treatment process design, and engineering economics. Perform design computations and develop or review construction cost estimates. Prepare and review contract plans, specifications, and estimates. Attend client meetings and assist with meeting minutes. Coordinate with other disciplines and review project designs for quality assurance. Provide technical oversight and guidance to design engineers.

Nonessential Responsibilities Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience

5-10 years of relevant experience. Bachelors degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, MS Project, and Microsoft Office. Strong written and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineering License. Experience working with local county and state clients.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily in an office environment (95%), with occasional field work in various weather conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.
