Special Security Technician
Amentum is seeking a Special Security Technician supporting our USSPACECOM program in Colorado Springs, CO. This position is contingent on position availability. Duties include: Assisting the Special Security Officer to ensure control of access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI Facilities (SCIFs); certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances / accesses; conducts SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, training on classified material / SSO-related material and topics; obtains signed nondisclosure agreements; and provides guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government and contractor personnel. Serving as a Controlled Access Program (CAP) security specialist for lifecycle program protection management for USSPACECOM and implementing protocols to actively reduce the chances for espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure or compromise of information or material considered vital to command mission interests, national defense, or national security. Developing, implementing, and integrating CAP program protection requirements supporting USSPACECOM essential program information, operations, technologies, and systems. As the CAP / Special Access Program (SAP) / Special Access Required (SAR) subject matter expert, providing detailed knowledge of DoD, IC, services, and mission partners' CAP / SAP / SAR policies, plans, and procedures. Recommending and executing "cradle to grave" security and program protection as it relates to USSPACECOM operations and equities. Training and managing the daily development of associated personnel on individual CAP / SAP program protection requirements and processes as directed. Providing all CAP / SAP / SAR security operations, analysis decisions, and recommendations in appropriate formats to meet DoD and USSPACECOM requirements. Other duties may include but are not limited to: audits of classified material, inspections of classified material storage facilities / SCIFs / containers, and researching and preparing classified material-related policy and management recommendations, reports, and recommendations. Requirements include: Must possess a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph. Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience and at least eight years of relevant experience. Compensation & Benefits: $90,000 - $135,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
