Parking Operations Coordinator
This team member is a functional leader and ambassador for the University and Transportation and Parking Services Department, frequently interacting with external stakeholders and other University Departments. Functionally supervises parking field operations, temporary, and full-time staff, administratively supervises student employees. Primary field trainer for all parking staff. Assists in planning large-scale events. Primary field contact for contractors and project managers, attending planning meetings and sharing information with Transportation and Parking Services staff. Coordinates and performs parking lot maintenance and parking lot re-striping. This position requires active engagement in learning and upholding UVM's Our Common Ground Values, commitment For People and Planet, and delivering great customer service. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience): High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in any of the following: parking operations, events operations, paving, property maintenance, military service in a related capacity, or equivalent lived experience. Basic proficiency with computer and mobile device applications. Must possess a valid drivers license and be able to be certified to operate a university vehicle. Continuation of employment contingent upon authorization to operate a university vehicle. Desirable Qualifications: Customer service experience, strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, experience with parking management and/or higher education operations. Anticipated Pay Range: $25.00 - $27.00/hour Special Conditions: Open to current UVM employees only, A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), 40 hour work week, This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, Background Check required for this position, A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required.
